Update Payment Method

Anedot provides multiple methods for updating payment methods. To learn more, continue below!

Update via Expiration Email

  1. Access the payment method link in the email sent to you.

    1. One month before your card expires, you should receive an email alert that your payment method needs to be updated.

    1. Add new payment details

      1. The Update Payment Method button on the email will take you to a secure landing page where you can type in your new payment information and click Update Payment Method.


Update via Anedot.com

To update your payment method through Anedot, please use the following link to sign in to your DonorID: https://anedot.com/donor/login

If you do not already have a DonorID created, use the following link to sign up:
https://anedot.com/signup

Tip: Use the same email that was used for your recurring commitment or donations.

When signing up, if you receive an Invalid Email error message, you likely already have an account set up.

You may follow the Password Reset steps to access your account.

Once you have logged in to your DonorID successfully, follow the steps below:

  1. Access the Donor Profile tab on the left-hand side of the page.

  2. Select the Payment Methods tab.

  3. Click the blue + Add payment method button.

  4. Enter your new payment method details and click Save.

  5. Once saved, click on the Commitment tab on the left side of the page.

  6. Next, locate the commitment record you would like to connect to the new payment method.

  7. Select Actions>Edit.

  8. Scroll down to the bottom of the Edit Commitment drawer and select your new payment method.

  9. Click Save.

This will complete your payment method update 🎉!

Please note that the old payment method cannot be removed until a new payment method has been connected to the commitment successfully. To discontinue a recurring commitment, check out the following guide: Cancel Commitment


Credit Card Auto-Updater

Our system checks with the Card Brands to update the expiration date and/or new card number automatically for recurring commitments. If our system is unable to update your payment method details successfully, an Update Payment Method notice will be sent to your email address.

Report Lost or Stolen Card

Have you recently had your credit card compromised by either losing it or having it stolen? If so, please call your credit card company first, and report the incident. Then, please send an email to [email protected] to let us know. Our team will then ensure that you are not charged for any unauthorized transactions.
